Paper Dress

The dress' shape was inspired by two buildings: Haas House and Marriott Marquis. The Paper was patterned (see previous post).

Haas House

Marriott Marquis

The silver squares are shaped like the glass/windows from the Haas House building. I used silver, laminate paper cut outs to achieve the glossy, mirrored effect.

The final touch, was the collar. It was made with voile fabric zig-zag stitched on the machine to create the shapes seen on the windows at the Marriott Marquis building. Again silver paper was added to the gaps in the stitching to resemble the windows.
