Polaroid Exercise - First Entry

In today's workshop we had to create a new blog! Ta Da!

Our first task was to take twelve, and only twelve, pictures related to specific words given.
The words were: line, contrast, bulge, narrow, awkward, flow, awkward, flow, connect, direct, below, noise, blue and far.

I have since chosen two of my favourite pictures from the twelve taken.

Line was one the two I liked best.

I think this one was successful because I captured the lines within the image in almost a symmetrical way which worked nicely against the uneven patterns created on the wood grains.

I also really like the dullness of the colours in it, it is almost monochromatic which links in nicely with my work from the land and see project so far.

Contrast was the second image which I liked best.

I really liked this one because, interestingly, it is the opposite of the first one I chose. There's a lot of contrast between the two. The colours in the are very vibrant and it is clear that the blue packaging does not belong on the green grass.
